South Pacific coming to Aronoff
Rodgers & Hammerstein’s “South Pacific’’ makes its Cincinnati debut at the Aronoff Center, playing Sept 21- Oct. 3 as part of the Fifth Third Bank Broadway Across America 10/11 Season Presentation.
Set on a tropical island during World War II, the musical tells the sweeping romantic story of two couples -- US Navy nurse Nellie Forbush and French plantation owner Emile de Becque and Navy Airman Joe Cable and a young local native girl Liat -- and how their happiness is threatened by the realities of war and by their own prejudices. Tickets start at $22.50. Call 1-800-982-2787 or visit BroadwayAcrossAmerica. com.
