METRO vs TANK at basketball shoot-out charity fundraiser Feb. 26
Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky’s public transit systems will go toe-to-toe in the firstannual Tri-State Shoot-Out on Feb. 26, 7 p.m., at Cincinnati State’s Gymnasium, to raise money to help low-income bus riders.
Metro and TANK employee teams will compete in what is sure to be the beginning of a crossriver basketball tradition. In addition to the game, the event will also include special guests, contests, and prizes.
Proceeds from the event will support the Everybody Rides Metro Foundation, which works with almost 100 partner agencies to provide bus tokens to low-income individuals who need help getting to jobs and jobs training. In addition, on behalf of TANK, a portion of the proceeds will go to the Welcome House of Northern Kentucky, which provides services for individuals and families who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless.
