CMHA to host Education Resource Fair for high school youth
On Saturday, April 9, the Cincinnati Metropolitan Housing Authority (CMHA) will host an education resource fair for high school youth. High school students and their parents are invited to attend this event to speak with college representatives, get help with financial aid and begin planning for the next stage in their education.
Dr. O’Dell Owens, president of Cincinnati State, will be the keynote speaker during the event. Other participants in the event will include the STRIVE partnership, Cincinnati State, the Hamilton County Public Library, Chatfield College, Northern Kentucky University and the College of Mt. Saint Joseph.
The education resource fair is primarily targeted to those youth whose parents are currently enrolled in CMHA’s Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) or public housing programs, though other area teens are invited to attend. The event will take place in the CMHA Auditorium at 1635 Western Ave. on Saturday, April 9, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
