Neighborhood Health Care to unveil Annie Ruth artwork
Neighborhood Health Care Inc. will install “Metamorphosis: I am the Change” on Feb. 10, at 4 p.m. at the Walnut Hills/Evanston Health Center at 2805 Gilbert Ave. The piece which was designed by internationally acclaimed artist Annie Ruth, is being donated by Eye of the Artists, a Cincinnati-based organization that “promotes education, literacy, & creative expression” in the community. Metamorphosis was displayed in November 2011 at the Bank of Kentucky Center and in Macy’s Department Store Downtown. The Walnut Hills/ Evanston Health Center will be the permanent home for this piece.
This re-make was created in mosaic style by Saint Ursula Academy students who worked with An nie Ruth/ Eye of the Artists; a Multicultural Arts Partnership organization that works tocreate canvases that illustrate how we create community through the arts.
“The ‘Metamorphosis’ piece is a great way to bring art into our health center and the Walnut Hills/ Evanston Community,” said NHC President/CEO Marcia Irving-Ray, DDS. “What better way to promote artwork and collaboration than to have it featured in one of our health centers.”
The public is invited to attend the unveiling and celebrate the benefits of collaboration in the Walnut Hills/ Evanston community. Guests should RSVP by January 29th by calling 513- 559-5501.
